ASP Chain Handcuffs with Tactical Security provide a major advance in both the desing and construction or wrist restraints. Frame geometry is the result of extensive computer modeling and simulation analysis. Strength potential has been maximized through use of an interlocking, unitized frame. The Lock Assembly is unitized and replaceable.

The Tactical Chain Handcuff was designed in the field. Input came from officers and instructors. As a result, this ASP design incorporates the practical features most requested by officers on the street. A stainless steel handcuff that weighs less than standard designs.

Since hinged handcuffs permit less movement than a chain cuff, they are generally considered to be more secure. Hinged cuffs can be used one-handed to apply pain-compliance/control techniques that are not workable with the chain type of cuff.

ASP Rigid Handcuffs with Tactical Security may be used to control the most resistive subject. Their extension lock design provides a secure structure that allows an officer to stabilize without impact. The folding mechanism of the Rigid cuff permits the restraint to be easily carried, then automatically lock open to form a solid restraint. The Rigid configuration offers the most restrictive handcuff structure in the ASP Series. It removes both lateral and linear mobility. For this reason, Rigid cuffs are ideal for courtroom or airline restraint.

ASP Rigid Handcuffs feature a locking bridge in the center of an ergonomic palm swell. Orientation disks confirm proper positioning. Raised for right-hand officers, lowered for left. The recessed finger track and contoured hand guard maintain a clear path to the bow guides. As with all ASP Handcuffs, the Rigid design incorporates a one piece unitized stainless steel frame. Cuffs are overmolded with high strength polymer. They have dual keyways and a high visibility double lock indicator. The high contact conical bows have radiused edges. This design increases the range of adjustment for both large and small wrists. The lock action is extremely smooth, yet positive. Both double and single locks are released by turning the key in a single direction toward the bow. Flex Frame Technology reduces injury potential from excessive lateral stress. Thin. Lightweight.
